Despite the US ban, Huawei obtained 50 5G commercial contracts worldwide

Huawei's 5G development

Huawei, China's multinational technology company and telecom equipment chain supplier has obtained 50 commercial 5G contracts worldwide. During the "5G is now" summit held in Shanghai, Huawei's managing director revealed that the company has achieved great success in the latest 5G development, reports mydrivers.com.

The company has successfully obtained 5G contracts in many countries including South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Finland. With more than 5G equipment shipments to 150,000 sets, the company has emerged as the world's biggest 5G equipment supplier.

Nokia and Ericsson have become the world's second and third largest 5G equipment suppliers after receiving 30 and 18 contracts respectively. Till now, HMD Global-owned company has obtained 30 contracts while Sweden-based company Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson has received 18 contracts making them to acheive notable positions after Huawei.

Recently, Huawei asked India to make a fair decision in its 5G trails. If the company wins 5G contract in India, it could trigger business controversies between the US and India.

The US is pressurizing other countries to comply with the US ban. US tech giants Google, Intel, Qualcomm, and other Hi-tech companies are restricted from selling US-made software and hardware to blocked companies. However, despite the US pressure and trade blacklisting, Huawei has gained the vast majority in the 5G development.
