OnePlus 7 receiving OxygenOS 9.5.6 update with June Android Security Patch

OnePlus 7 OxygenOS 9.5.6 update

Since the launch of OnePlus flagship in the market, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been rolling out regular updates designed to improve handset performance and photo quality. This time, the OnePlus 7 is receiving another OxygenOS update bearing version number 9.5.6 with June Android security patch.

This is the third time OnePlus handset is receiving the update. The latest update is aimed to improve device performance, camera quality, and security issues. The update is currently available to a limited number of users and could be rolled out soon across all OnePlus 7 devices.

Initially, the handset camera quality was not satisfactory, but since the update rolled out a second and third time, the photo quality and audio quality have been improved. The latest update is not intended to improve the camera and audio, but it comes with the June Android security patch, which fixes minor bugs.

Apart from this, the new firmware update optimizes the sensitivity of automatic brightness that was missing from the previous update. Users can navigate to handset settings and manually check for updates. If the update is not available, the user will be able to receive the update within the next few days after making sure there are no critical bugs, says OnePlus forum.
