Redmi & Black Shark are working on 5G phones, expected to be released next year

Redmi Black Shark 5G

Redmi and Black Shark, sub-brands of Chinese electronics company Xiaomi, revealed that both teams are working hard to develop its own 5G smartphones, which are said to be available at affordable prices in Europe and China, reports GSMArena.

Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi, said at the MWC summit in Shanghai that the two countries will soon be able to enjoy 5G-connected smartphones. He posted the event details on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo to confirm that the company will provide 5G phones in China with a price of 2,000 yuan (about INR 20115 / 255 euros).

Many telecom companies and smartphone manufacturers seem to be running in a 5G rush. Huawei, Nokia and Samsung are among the smartphone makers preparing to launch 5G devices. Some companies are all set to announce the launch date. However, Redmi and Black Shark have not commented on the release date.

While deeply reporting the facts, Chinese tech giants appear to be extremely interested in the 5G boom compared to other non-Chinese companies. Asus, on the other hand, is working too on the 5G phone. Motorola and HTC have also revealed their 5G devices, while Apple is expected to launch its first 5-connected phone next year.
