Redmi phone Mediatek Helio G90T

A day after Mediatek launched its new gaming-centric chipsets Helio G90 and Helio G90T for upcoming Android phones, the Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced that the company will soon bring Helio G90T-powered Redmi smartphone in the market.

Lu Weibing, the vice president of Xiaomi and director of Xiaomi's subbrand Redmi, confirmed that the company's new mobile phone will soon be launched with the Mediatek's latest chipset Helio G90T, however, it was not confirmed whether Redmi's other upcoming phones will also be equipped with Mediatek's chipset.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile platform is used by many Xiaomi branded smartphones. In fact, the Redmi K20-series K20 Pro and K20 are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 855 respectively. Another Redmi phone, Note 7S, also includes Qualcomm-developed chipset. The company's other game-centric SoC, the Snapdragon 855+, powers the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone.

As confirmed by the benchmark score rating tools AnTuTu and Geekbench, the latest launched Mediatek SoCs surpasses the Snapdragon 730 chipset.

The Mediatek Helio G90T-powered smartphone that Xiaomi has teasing about is not in our knowledge. Therefore, adding any further information could be confused. However, for a smooth gameplay experience, the Redmi's next device could be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, better camera setup with powerful image sensors, smoother touch sensitivity, and ultra-fast memory capabilities. All expected features are the main reasons for using the Helio G90T chipset.
