Huawei's HongmengOS is faster than Android and MacOS, claims Ren Zhengfei

HongmengOS

Chinese engineer and CEO of Huawei Ren Zhengfei, in an interview with a French magazine, revealed that Huawei's HongmengOS will be more advanced, powerful and faster than Google's Android operating system, reports a French magazine.

The company's CEO has claimed that HongmengOS will be faster than Android and MacOS that is going to be used on a range of devices like smartphones, tablets, computers, data centers, routers, and network switches as well, said the report.

Apart from this, the said computer program will also have a broader application than other operating systems used in today's smartphones and tablets.

To recall, Huawei has started working on HongmengOS in order to replace Android on its devices. Due to the US ban, the Chinese company left no stone unturned developing its own OS.

Last month, the company was reportedly testing a Linux-based operating system SailfishOS instead of HongmengOS, however, since then, the company didn't make any clarification regarding its Android alternative.

Samsung sued by ACCC over promoting Galaxy phones deceptively

samsung

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has been sued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for allegedly carrying out deceptive advertisement techniques to represent various Galaxy phones in more than 300 ads, reports Reuters.

Samsung's local unit in Australia allegedly showed the water resistance features in Galaxy phones. The feature in question did not exist in the Galaxy phones and thus led the users to believe Samsung's advertisements, ACCC added. If the launched lawsuit against the local unit of Samsung proved to be true, the company might face multi-million dollar fines, reports multiple sources.

The instituted proceedings in the Federal Court against Samsung Australia reveals consumers damaged their phones when exposing the Galaxy handsets to water. It further states that Samsung had refused to honor warranty claims for the damaged phones.

Samsung on its website has stated that Samsung's Australian unit stands by its advertisement because the company complies with Australian law and advertising policies. The site further states that the company will defend the case in the Federal Court.

The ACCC's official website has added a screenshot of Samsung Australia's tweet that clearly shows that the company was engaged showing water-resist ads. The tweet confirms that Galaxy handsets were advertised in such way that represented the devices in a misleading manner.

The case background reveals the misrepresented device list ranging from Galaxy S-series to A-series. ACCC website has added S10e, S10, S10 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S8, S8 Plus, S7, S7 Edge, Note 9, Note 8, Note 7, A8, A7, and A5 smartphones to the instituted proceedings. More importantly, the reputational damaged devices listed on the website are manufactured between 2016 to 2019, ACCC said.

Xiaomi leads Redmi 5A & 6A with 48% market share

redmi phone

Earlier this week, the Chinese smart device maker revealed that the company had achieved a great success by shipping 1 million Mi brand units in just eight days. However, this was sufficient for the said tech giant to set an unbreakable record when the competition is fierce.

Today, Xiaomi's managing director and the global vice president Manu Kumar Jain revealed that the company leads Redmi 5A and 6A phones in India with a market share of 48%. He said that "1 out of 2 smartphone users choose Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A over all other smartphones in ₹5000 to ₹7000 price segment".

Jain further said that the company will soon launch Redmi 7A in the Indian market. He did not confirm the exact release date of the upcoming mobile phone, but just teased "Redmi 7A is coming soon." In India, 7A is expected to be officially released in the mid-July.

Redmi 7A, on the other hand, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset instead of Helio A22 Processor and will be launched with the Adreno 505 graphics processor. The device in the talk runs on the Android v9.0 pie operating system, but devices without fingerprint sensors are boring for some users. Because the estimated price of the phone is Rs. 5,535, so expecting a lot of features is really unfair.

Huawei's trade ban is coming to an end, now able to trade with US companies

huawei ban

Last month, the US president Mr. Donald Trump added the Chinese tech firm Huawei to the trade blacklist over the security concerns. And since then, the company claims that the US ban has caused a major loss in Huawei's business.

During the US ban, the company also managed to achieve a massive number of 5G commercial contracts from the non-US countries. However, this is not enough to lift the shattered company from the grounds of China. Therefore, US President Donald Trump has confirmed that US companies are allowed to sell their products to Huawei.

During the '2019 G20 Osaka Summit', Trump and President Xi Jinping reached an agreement stating the trade negotiations will be resumed between the two countries. It seems Huawei will now be able to buy US goods in the coming weeks. The exact date for the removal of the ban was not confirmed.

The recent trade war has not only boiled China but also affected the US companies by restricting them from trading with Chinese tech firms. The company from both sides will breathe again as the president has issued a new statement.

According to the BBC, Trump had threatened an additional $300bn (£236bn) in tariffs on Chinese imports. But, it is not confirmed yet whether Trump's decision will remain constructive, or the two leaders will resolve the issue at the ongoing G20 summit in Japan.

Everything you need to know about Vivo’s 120W Super FlashCharge

Vivo’s 120W Super FlashCharge

We have seen a wide range of superchargers in the market but, Vivo's 120W will be the first Super FlashCharger that will draw massive power within a short period of time. Vivo claims that its charger has the fastest charging capability and can fully charge 4,000mAh battery in just 13 minutes.

Knowing that the current generation is running at the fastest speed, the company is bringing a new Super FlashCharge that can be used in a hurry. Within 5 minutes, the cell phone battery with 4,000 mAh power capacity will be charged up to 50%.

In physics, 120watt is represented by 120 joules per second, means the charger case might come with power-resist abilities that will prevent it from being overheating. Since the voltage is not too strong, but the electrons within the 120W super flash charger are going to hit the battery in a few minutes. When the electron flow at intensifying speed, the situation gets worse.

Other smartphone manufacturers have already introduced a series of superchargers in the market with power ranges of 20W, 40W, 50W and more. However, the 120W Super FlashCharge will become the fastest charger in the field of smartphones. And again, when it comes to thermal issues, the “heat dissipation system” reminds us of what Vivo said at MWC Shanghai this year.
